Mystery Quilt Foot Note

I have listed the size as 89" x 89" (blocks set 9x9) 44 strips but with the number of strips you can actually add 2 more rows and it will measure 80" x 96" (9x11) This is the size that I made and it covers a queen size bed. The twin sizes 60” x 60” (blocks set 7x7) 36 strips Whatever size you make it will need to be an ODD number of rows and blocks in a row.
Blocks will measure 8" x 8" finished

If you are doing the
60" x 60" (with borders approx) you will need 7 blocks by 7 rows = 49 blocks
89" x 89" (with borders approx) 9 blocks x 9 rows = 81 blocks
Cutting instructions (easy measurements)
Cut all fabrics into 2 1/2" x WOF.
From dark contrast - 36 strips 44 strips180 - 8 1/2" rectangles 218 - 8 1/2" rectangles
From very light - if you are cutting borders first (the Pat-method) you will need to cut:
2 strips 2 1/2" x 90 1/2" 2 strips 2 1/2" x 90 1/2"2 strips 2 1/2" x 80 1/2" 2 strips 2 1/2" x 80 1/2"(These will be trimmed to the exact length and width after assembling the top)
From the remainder cut:
6 strips x WOF (32") 7 strips WOF (32")from 4 strips cut:
8.5"|8.5"|10.5" 8.5"|8.5"|10.5"
from last 2 strips 3 strips cut4 - 8 1/2" rectangles 8 - 8 1/2" rectangles

If you are not using the Pat-method for the borders you will need to adjust the number of strips accordingly.
